Born in Ankara 1953. Müfit Karzek left high school in the 1970's in order to begin his career as an artist at a small workshop together with artist Isil Ozisik and photographer Ibrahim Demirel.

He devoloped his painting technique and experience in photography at his workshop. Later on, he opened his own studio in Istanbul and continued his works on painting, sculpture and ceramic for five years.
In 1979, he settled in Bodrum [Halikarnasos] and laid the foundation of his unique artistic life.
At the same time, he also worked at the under water archeological museum of Bodrum and Institute of Nautical Arcehology as a painter and adviser.
He introduced his own school by using tile ink technique on paper.
Mufit Karzek opened his first exhibition in 1980 at Haluk Elbe art gallery in the arheological museum.
